Introduction

The list of iconic country music performers planning to call it a career in 2026 has been growing, but thus far none of the names on the list are as big as Alan Jackson.
Fans know that the legendary singer has been planning his farewell for a couple of years now, and the official end for live performances is slated to take place on June 27, 2026 at Nashville’s Nissan Stadium.
He has had one heck of a career.
Back during his final touring show in Milwaukee in May of 2025, Jackson shared with the audience a little bit of the story of his struggle to make it.
“It started 40 years ago this September,” he said. “My wife and I drove to Nashville with an old U-Haul trailer chasing the dream, and it has been a crazy ride. Lived the American Dream for sure, and I’m so blessed, and thank y’all so much for all of your support, coming to the shows.”
When Jackson ended the show, he addressed the crowd once more.
“I just want to say thanks to y’all once again,” he said. “Y’all have been a wonderful crowd here tonight. I can’t think of a better way to end my touring career out here with y’all. Wonderful crowd. God bless you. Appreciate you.
“Maybe I’ll see y’all again one day.”
While it is sad that Jackson is stepping away, he is doing it for health reasons and to be with family. And, in the end, he did pretty, darned well for himself to put himself in position to able to make the move.
It has been a long run for Jackson, who began his career in 1987. It has been a lucrative run, too.
Just how lucrative?
Well, according to CelebrityNetWorth.com, Jackson has an estimated fortune of $150 million.
So, he figures to be well-suited to take care of himself and family as he takes a well-deserved rest.
Jackson revealed in 2021 that he has Charcot-Marie-Tooth, a chronic neuropathy condition that effects a person’s balance and ability to walk.
